Electrical Engineer PLC Programmer

About the Job
This position will design, program, and provide start-up support for PLC and SCADA systems for industrial clients.  We offer a wide variety of projects and challenges.

Qualified candidate must possess the following skills:
The qualified Senior Controls Engineer must be well versed in control systems. He/She must be capable of taking a project from start to finish. This would include meeting the customer to understand what the need is, designing, building, programming, commissioning and handing off the finished system. This person must be proficient in PLC and HMI programming.  Relational database experienced and computer programming experience is a plus.  This person must also possess good oral and written communication skills.

Organizational Relationship:
The Senior Controls Engineer reports directly to the Engineer Manager

Job Skills Required:
Applicable Degree or five years project engineering and/or project management experience on control system integration projects.  Experiences should include PLC's, PC's, HMI, SCADA software, device communication protocols and networking. Proficiency in at least one programming language required.

Specific Responsibilities
:
1.  Electrical design and hardware specification.
2.  Design and program sophisticated control systems.
3.  Simulate, test, and debug control systems in-house
4.  Install and startup systems at the end-users facility.
5.  Provide continuing system technical support over the phone or on-site.

Project Manager - Electrical Controls

About the Job
This Position is responsible for the management and execution of assigned automation and controls projects and personnel. Project Manager will provide regular project status and progress updates to management. Duties also include the day to day management of engineering team assigned to specific projects.  Also the identification and reporting of issues and recommended corrective action to insure projects meet customer needs, are on schedule and within budget. 

Qualifications/Duties:
  • Develop individual project plans including work scope definition, personnel requirements and budgets
  • Implement and manage customer change order process
  • Develop recovery plan for project problems
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects
  • RSLogix 5000 (or equivalent)
  • Ability to read/redline Electrical Schematics
  • AutoCAD knowledge a plus
  • OIT/HMI programming
  • Comprehension of various control networking schemes (Cnet, Dnet, Enet, etc.)
  • Ability to lead and schedule startup/commissioning activities
  • Vendor management experience
  • Manufacturing environment experience a must
Education/Experience:
BS EE/ME or similar technical degree or equivalent work experience. 1-5 years Project Management experience.
